The Hair Study Did Not Detect a Significant Racial-Group Difference in Cannabinoid Positivity

The documented-user study found no statistically significant difference in hair cannabinoid detection between its reported African American and Caucasian groups. The small, unequal samples do not support a universal biological rule about race and testing.

The comparison was specimen based

The report classified forty specimens in the African American category and thirteen in the Caucasian category. Detection of either target was approximately 65% and 62%, respectively, with a nonsignificant comparison. These were fifty-three specimens from thirty-eight men, rather than fifty-three independent participants.

A null comparison is not proof of equivalence

The study did not establish identical detection probabilities across all populations or hair characteristics. Broad racial labels also do not directly measure pigmentation, cosmetic treatment or every factor affecting analyte incorporation. The finding should retain those measurement and sample-size limits.

An individual result needs individual evidence

The reported comparison does not justify assigning a correction factor to someone because of race, or dismissing possible analytical differences in another study. Its useful contribution is narrower: this dataset did not demonstrate the claimed detection-rate separation. Interpretation should rely on the specimen, target analyte, threshold, collection history and relevant measured characteristics, while preserving both the nonsignificant result and the uncertainty around generalization.

The CBD Meal Comparison Changed Calories and Composition Together

The CBD trial compared complete meal conditions, not an isolated change in dietary fat. Its high-fat, high-calorie and low-fat, lower-calorie breakfasts differed in several respects at once. What the meal labels contained The high-fat, high-calorie breakfast supplied approximately 918 kcal, with a similar-calorie vegetarian substitution available. The low-fat, lower-calorie breakfast…

Why Lower Apparent CBD Clearance After Food Does Not Isolate Elimination

The food study’s lower apparent oral clearance cannot be read as proof that the body eliminated CBD more slowly. The reported quantity includes bioavailability, which also changed with the dosing condition. The parameter was CL/F Researchers gave healthy adults a single 750 mg dose of a pharmaceutical CBD oral solution…

CBD Metabolite Ratios Could Fall While Metabolite Exposure Increased

A lower metabolite-to-parent ratio did not necessarily mean less metabolite exposure in the CBD food study. The parent CBD exposure could increase more strongly, changing the ratio’s denominator. Absolute exposure and relative exposure answer different questions The trial measured CBD, 7-hydroxy-CBD and 7-carboxy-CBD in plasma after a single 750 mg…
