Off Topic: Venezuela… President Maduro’s life is in danger!

The United States seems to be leading everyone to believe that all of the military resources are being moved close to Venezuela for launching missiles at drug speedboats and stopping drug trafficking.

You heard it here first; this is a ruse. The U.S. will assassinate the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro.

On May 3, 2020, Venezuelan security forces thwarted an attempt by armed dissidents to depose Maduro. The American private security firm Silvercorp USA, under the leadership of Jordan Goudreau, orchestrated the operation, and its personnel received training in Colombia. Goudreau asserted that the operation encompassed 60 personnel, including two former members of US special forces. This was clearly the United States government attempting to take over covertly via an American private security firm.  Private security firms usually focus on security services, not overthrowing governments.

The Venezuelan government asserted that the United States and its Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) were accountable for the operation and received assistance from Colombia. Juan Guaidó refuted participation in the operation. Goudreau asserted that Guaidó and two political advisors entered into a contract with him for US $213 million in October 2019. Eight assailants were slain, while an additional thirteen, including two Americans, were apprehended.

In October 2025, it was claimed that the United States purportedly endeavored to apprehend Maduro via a clandestine operation aimed at enlisting his personal pilot, General Bitner Villegas. As reported by the Associated Press, U.S. Homeland Security agent Edwin Lopez encountered Villegas in the Dominican Republic and proposed financial incentives in return for redirecting Maduro’s plane to a site where U.S. authorities could facilitate his arrest, since he faced charges of narco-terrorism. During the subsequent 16 months, Lopez sustained encrypted communication with the pilot; nevertheless, the scheme collapsed when Villegas declined to comply. The narrative stemmed from a tip in April 2024 regarding Maduro’s aircraft, which were subsequently confiscated in Santo Domingo for violations of sanctions. In 2025, following Lopez’s unsuccessful efforts to convince Villegas, associates of the Venezuelan opposition revealed the agent’s communication with the pilot, momentarily igniting discussion regarding Villegas’s status until he officially reaffirmed his allegiance to Maduro.

On 24 November 2025, the Trump administration formally designated him and his governmental associates as members of a foreign terrorist organization. This designation grants Trump the legal ability to impose more stringent sanctions on his administration. Experts assert that it does not confer upon Trump the right to employ lethal force. According to administration officials, the designation justifies US military operations in Venezuela.
