Vomiting Occurred Several Hours After Two Oral THC Doses

Two participants vomited approximately three hours after dosing, one in the 25 mg and another in the 50 mg condition. The timing shows why immediate post-ingestion observations alone did not describe the full session.

The events were reported in a small trial

Seventeen healthy infrequent cannabis users received placebo and three active brownie doses in separate sessions. The report described brief emesis at the two higher doses and resolution of nausea immediately afterward. These were observed human adverse events, not an estimate drawn from a product-label survey.

Timing does not establish how much drug was absorbed

A later vomiting event cannot be used to calculate exactly how much of the dose remained in the body or was expelled. The study did not provide a validated absorbed-dose correction for emesis. It also does not show that every person receiving these doses will vomit or that vomiting is necessary for a clinically important drug effect.

Retain the limits of the observation

The events occurred under a controlled single-dose protocol with selected healthy participants. The small sample cannot establish rare-event rates, repeated-use effects or the course of a different formulation. The study’s delayed subjective and performance findings remain relevant, but an adverse-event report should not be turned into an individualized impairment duration or a universal account of edible toxicity.
