Dizziness Often Occurred Before the Final Target Dose in the Parkinson Cannabinoid Trial

Most dizziness reports in the Parkinson trial occurred below the final protocol dose. The adverse-event pattern did not support describing lower titration doses as free of symptoms.

The timing and dose context were recorded

Dizziness was the most common adverse effect in the CBD/THC group. Most reports were mild, and approximately 80.6% occurred at doses below the final 2.5-milligram-per-kilogram daily regimen as defined by the study. Adverse events were more common at the initial than final dose assessment.

This was not a randomized dose-safety comparison

Participants could reduce doses for tolerability, and thirteen active-treatment participants did not reach a protocol dose. Those who tolerated early treatment could therefore differ from those who reduced it. The pattern cannot establish that the higher dose was intrinsically safer or that symptoms necessarily resolved through tolerance.

Titration does not eliminate functional questions

Calling an event mild describes its severity category, not an absence of potential effects on balance or daily activities. The trial also found no overall motor superiority over placebo. A balanced interpretation retains when symptoms occurred, which participants achieved the target and the limited duration of exposure. It does not turn a later lower event frequency into a guarantee about either dose for a particular patient.

CBN Served as the Internal Standard in a Postmortem THC Assay

The postmortem GC–MS method used cannabinol as an internal standard. CBN was a reference signal in this procedure, rather than a second reported measure of parent THC or a stable-isotope-labeled copy of it. The CBD Excreted-Dose Calculation Used Volume and Molecular Weight

The study’s percentage of dose excreted was a calculated quantity using urine volume, analyte concentration and metabolite molecular-weight adjustment. It was not simply a urine concentration expressed as a percentage. The calculation had several stages For each collection, the investigators combined measured urine volume and concentration to estimate analyte amount….
