A Standard Breakfast Was Part of the Oral-THC Challenge Protocol

The oral-THC study administered a standard light breakfast before dosing. Its findings came from a controlled food-and-dose schedule rather than unrestricted edible use.

The morning procedure was standardized

Participants arrived after fasting overnight, underwent screening and baseline assessments, and received a light breakfast 90 minutes before oral dronabinol. Active and placebo test days used a controlled laboratory procedure. This context belongs alongside the fixed 10-milligram dose when describing the experiment.

The trial did not randomize fed versus fasting dosing

Providing a meal to participants is not the same as comparing two meal conditions. The study therefore cannot quantify how much breakfast altered THC absorption or whether a different meal would change the sex comparison. It also did not establish a meal-specific plasma concentration threshold.

Administration context limits product extrapolation

The authors chose dronabinol for uniform dosing. Commercial edibles can differ in ingredients, cannabinoid composition and administration conditions. The controlled meal schedule is one reason to preserve the actual protocol when applying a result elsewhere. The study’s subjective and physiological findings, and its memory null, should not become a precise forecast for any retail edible taken under any conditions. Neither the meal timing nor the tested dose constitutes a validated waiting period for driving or a prescription for avoiding THC effects.

The CBD Scan Trial Used Equal Allocation Despite Planning a Two-to-One Ratio

The scan-anxiety study ultimately randomized twenty-five participants to each treatment. The paper disclosed that its original sample-size plan anticipated a two-to-one allocation instead. The discrepancy concerned the allocation ratio The central registrar inadvertently implemented a one-to-one scheme rather than the originally intended unequal ratio. Participants still underwent randomized assignment, and…

The CBD Scan-Anxiety Trial Measured Prescan Anxiety, Not Anxiety During the Scan

The trial’s acute anxiety assessment occurred after CBD dosing but generally before the scheduled cancer scan. It did not directly measure whether CBD reduced distress inside the scanner. The two timing intervals were different Participants received the study drug within 48 hours before a tumor-assessment scan. Anxiety was reassessed two…
