The Delta-8 Cell-Line and Primary-Airway Experiments Used Different Assessment Times

The delta-8 study assessed a bronchial cell line at twelve and twenty-four hours but evaluated primary airway cultures immediately after aerosol exposure. Those findings should not be treated as one continuous time course in the same model.

The experimental systems served different purposes

The 16HBE cell-line experiments compared defined delta-8 THC and its quinone with vehicle. Primary differentiated human bronchial epithelial cultures were exposed to commercial product aerosols. The systems differed in cellular organization, exposure composition and the time of measurement, as well as in the outcomes examined.

Timing can change the biological question

The authors selected cell-line time points to examine transcriptional responses, while primary cultures were assessed immediately after exposure because longer post-exposure handling presented practical problems. An early functional response and a later transcriptomic response may be related hypotheses, but the design did not directly measure their sequence in the same primary cultures.

Avoid inventing a progression from separate experiments

The study cannot establish that every immediate ciliary change develops into a specified later gene pattern or chronic injury. Conversely, the different assessment schedules do not invalidate the observations. They define what each experiment contributes. An accurate account identifies model, exposure and timing before combining the results into a mechanistic interpretation. The paper supports further work on temporal relationships, rather than a measured human disease timeline.

The CBD Scan Trial Used Equal Allocation Despite Planning a Two-to-One Ratio

The scan-anxiety study ultimately randomized twenty-five participants to each treatment. The paper disclosed that its original sample-size plan anticipated a two-to-one allocation instead. The discrepancy concerned the allocation ratio The central registrar inadvertently implemented a one-to-one scheme rather than the originally intended unequal ratio. Participants still underwent randomized assignment, and…

Only Six Participants Had Severe Baseline Anxiety in the CBD Scan Trial

The scan-anxiety trial stratified randomization by baseline anxiety severity, but only six participants were in its severe category. Stratification did not supply enough data for a reliable severe-anxiety subgroup analysis. The CBD Scan-Anxiety Trial Measured Prescan Anxiety, Not Anxiety During the Scan

The trial’s acute anxiety assessment occurred after CBD dosing but generally before the scheduled cancer scan. It did not directly measure whether CBD reduced distress inside the scanner. The two timing intervals were different Participants received the study drug within 48 hours before a tumor-assessment scan. Anxiety was reassessed two…
